1 in 4 active duty service members experience symptoms of a mental health condition. Due to ongoing societal stigmas, many veterans or service members suffering go undiagnosed.
At Revitalizing Therapies, we want to lead by example. By connecting with the VA Community Care Network (CCN), we are joining a community of providers dedicated to helping veterans who are struggling.
SPRAVATO™, also known as Esketamine, is an FDA-approved treatment that has relieved thousands of individuals suffering from treatment-resistant depression.
Administered as a nasal spray under the supervision of our certified healthcare providers, SPRAVATO™ is unique in that it may be able to alleviate symptoms of depression within hours rather than the weeks or months a typical antidepressant may take.
While a standard antidepressant, such as the SSRIs Fluoxetine (Prozac) or Sertraline (Zoloft), targets specific neurotransmitters in the brain like serotonin, SPRAVATO™ targets the NMDA receptor within nerve cells and helps reset these connections between nerve cells. SPRAVATO™ went through both short-term and long-term trials before the FDA approved it for use with treatment-resistant depression.
